Niagara Parks Power Station: +VG Architects
Niagara Parks Power Station in Niagara Falls, Ontario, originally known as the Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station, and subsequently as the William Birch Rankine Generating Station, is a heritage restoration and adaptive-reuse project by +VG Architects of the historic 1904-vintage hydroelectric plant conceived by Nicola Tesla and George Westinghouse. A landmark in the development of alternating-current powerplants at commercial scale, it is the world's largest and only intact facility from that era.
