Toronto Old City Hall
For +VG Architects – The Ventin Group Ltd., we shot Toronto Old City Hall to highlight +VG’s 12-year, $35-million renovation, which was until the ongoing work at Parliament Hill “probably the biggest stone restoration and replacement job ever undertaken in Ontario,” says Peter Berton, +VG partner-in-charge of the renovation, who also created nine-foot-long gargoyles (second in size only to those atop Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris), to replace the long-vanished originals reposing 300 feet above the corner of Bay and Queen Streets.
