David Dunlap Observatory

The City of Richmond Hill, Ont., retained David Lasker Photography and David Lasker Communications to create a media kit to publicize the restoration by +VG Architects of the historic David Dunlap Observatory. When it opened in 1935, it boasted the world's second-largest telescope. The Administration Building, designed in the then-fashionable Beaux-Arts style by Mathers & Handenby Architects, has been the shooting location for several films and TV shows, including Odd, Square, Universe and Communist Mummies from Mars.
